Lubrication

Electrical pressure regulator

The electrical spray pressure regulator must be lightly lubricated with John Deere SD POLYUREA GREASE or MULTILUBER GREASE once per year via the lubricating nipple (arrow). Remove the protective cap of the electric motor if required (unscrew 3 bolts) in order to check the greasing progress and remove superfluous grease.

Pump oil change

The pump oil must be changed after the first 50 working hours and then at the end of every season or after 200 operating hours. The oil can be drained using the oil drain plug (A). The pump must be at working temperature and be positioned horizontally, and the oil filling cap (B) must be removed to allow air to enter and the oil to drain away more quickly. During drainage, turn the axle manually until the pump is completely empty. Attach the drain plug. The preferred pump oil is SAE 15W40 (2.3 kg). Recommended John Deere oils are PLUS-50 ™ or TORQ-GARD SUPREME ™ SAE 15W40. To allow air to escape during filling, rotate the pump axle manually. After the oil change, check the oil level in the reservoir (C). The oil level must be checked regularly and oil must be added if necessary.
