Coupling to the Tractor

The machine must be coupled to the tractor to enable a flat (water level) position of the sprayer behind the tractor.

Sprayers with universal drawbar

With the universal drawbar, the sprayer can be connected to the tractor in a low position (A) or in a high position (B). For this purpose, the front part of the drawbar with tow eye can be inverted.

With the universal drawbar set in the lower linkage position, the minimum height of the tow eye is approx. 52 cm with 270/95R48 tires, when the sprayer is level.

The height of the tow eye can be set in six positions as follows.

1. The tow eye (C) can be fitted to the support frame (D) in two positions, which allows a height difference of 27.5 mm.
2. The tow eye support frame (D) can be connected in three different positions (in steps of 55 mm) to the drawbar.

With the universal drawbar set in the upper linkage position, the maximum height of the tow eye is approx. 98 cm with 270/95R48 tires, when the sprayer is level. The height of the tow eye can be set in six positions, similar as described above.

causym CAUTION: Never adjust the spacers into a position where all 8 bolts are not used.

Drawbar Ballasting

Drawbars with additional ballast are available to increase the weight on the drawbar of an empty machine with the booms folded. This is particularly recommended when using a Piton Fix tractor coupling to reduce play and increase stability during transport.

The universal drawbar has spacer plates (A) instead of the normal spacer blocks.
