Boom Tilt Calibration

The "Boom Tilt" calibration menu can be entered via the drop down menu in the field "Sensor to Calibrate". It will show the current settings for the items listed below. If the sprayer is fitted with a boom tilt correction through rotary switch, the potentiometers of the control box and the boom tilt actuator have to be adjusted in relation to each other. Boom Tilt Left [%] the position of the potentiometer on the boom tilt actuator corresponding to the leftmost position of the potentiometer on the control box is shown here. This value always has to be calibrated. Boom Tilt Right [%] the position of the potentiometer on the boom tilt actuator corresponding with the rightmost position of the potentiometer on the control box is shown here. This value always has to be calibrated. Boom Tilt Center [%] the position of the potentiometer on the boom tilt actuator

corresponding with the center position of the potentiometer of the control box is shown here. This value always has to be calibrated. Automatic will give access to a screen (step 1) with calibration possibilities for: "Boom Tilt Left", "Boom Tilt Right" and "Boom Tilt Center". Choose the appropriate "Next" button to select the required calibration (step 2 screen will follow). Manual will give access to a screen with calibration possibilities for: "Boom Tilt Left", "Boom Tilt Right " and "Boom Tilt Center". Choose the appropriate field and enter value. The position of the potentiometer on the boom tilt actuator corresponding with the position of the potentiometer on the control box has to be entered here. This value always has to be calibrated. Boom Tilt Hysteresis [%] the hysteresis used for the automatic positioning of the boom tilt actuator has to be entered here. The hysteresis is the dead band for the potentiometer on the switch box, before operation of the boom tilt cylinder takes place.

Then press "CAL" button to start the calibration. Actual Boom Tilt Position [ADC] value is shown in the screen center. The "Cancel " button will return you to the "Boom Tilt Calibration" page.
