Air Brakes on Trailer
The air brakes are dual-line system. Trailer with dual-line brakes may be connected at connections (A) and (B).
Ensure that the connections are clean before joining the compressed air hoses. Seal the connections with the dust caps whenever the hoses are disconnected.
Connect air brake hoses as follows:
When connecting the compressed air hoses to the telescopic handler, first connect the brake hose to yellow connector (B) and then the supply hose to red connector (A).
CAUTION:
Adjust load control valve to suit trailer load.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent undue wear on the brakes, observe the following points:
Make sure that the pressure hoses are connected.
When driving downhill, select the same gear you would for driving uphill.
Check the air brake on the trailer regularly to make sure that it is functioning correctly.
Drain the water from the compressed air tank daily (see "Service / Daily or Every 10 Hours" Section).
