Opening the Hood

CAUTION: Always shut off engine and remove key before opening engine hood (A). To avoid bodily injury, do not open hood until all rotating parts have stopped completely.

The hood is supported by gas-filled struts.

To open the engine hood (A), use a suitable tool (13 mm across flats) or else use tool (B), which is available through spare parts channels.

Open hood, it will be held opened by gas-fitted struts (C) as shown.

This will give access to:

• Radiator and coolers
• Alternator, fan belt and starting motor
• Engine oil and fuel filters
• Air cleaner
