Changing Steering Modes
IMPORTANT:
The machine must always be stationary before changing steering modes.
Before working with the machine or before changing of steering mode, check the alignment (center/straight position) of the wheels as follows:
1.
Start the engine and apply parking brake.
2.
Keep steering mode switch (A) in its actual position (i.e. four wheel steering)
3.
Press switch (A) to activate timer. The timer indicator LED (B) will glow during 90 seconds.
4.
While indicator LED (B) is glowing, turn the wheels until the rear wheel alignment indicator LED (D) is glowing.
5.
Change steering mode switch (A) to the "two wheel steering" position (F).
6.
While indicator LED (B) is glowing, turn the wheels until the front wheel alignment indicator LED (C) is glowing. Both LED (B) and LED (C) should now be glowing which indicates proper wheel alignment.
7.
Rotate steering mode switch (A) to the desired steering mode position.
NOTE:
Each axle incorporates an optical sensor which indicates the center position of the axle for the wheel alignment indicator LEDs (C) and (D).
