Changing Engine Oil Filter Element
Proceed as follows:
1.
Remove filter element (A) and clean mounting surface.
2.
Apply a thin film of clean engine oil to inner and outer sealing rings (B) and to threads of new filter.
3.
Wipe both sealing surfaces of the header

with a clean rag.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure, when replacing the oil filter element (A), that the notches (C) of the dust seal (D) are properly installed in the slots (E) of housing.
4.
Replace dust seal (D) which may be provided with oil filter element or available separately.
IMPORTANT:
When installing filter element, HAND TIGHTEN only. A filter wrench may be used for REMOVAL ONLY.
5.
Install and tighten new filter element by hand only until firmly against dust seal (D). DO NOT apply an extra 3/4 to 1-1/4 turn after gasket contact as done with standard filters.
6.
Start engine and check base of filter for leaks.
7.
Shut off engine and check oil level.
NOTE:
Carry out first oil filter change after first 100 hours of operation.
