Emissions Control System Certification Label

An emissions warranty applies to diesel engines marketed by John Deere that are certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and are used in the United States in non-road mobile equipment. Certified engines have an emissions label with the title "Important Engine Information". If you reside in the United States and the engine emission label states: "Engine conforms to U.S. EPA regulations on heavy duty non road diesel cycle engines", you are entitled to the U.S. Emission Control Warranty.

The presence of an EU number in the third line of the label signifies that the engine has been certified with the European Union countries per Directive 97/68/EC. The emissions warranty does not apply to the EU countries.

NOTE: The hp/kW rating on the engine emissions label specifies the gross engine hp/kW, which is flywheel power without fan. In most applications this will not be the same rating as the advertised vehicle hp/kW rating.
