Adjusting Feed Roll Springs
Tighten springs (A) and (B) until coils open 1 mm (0.04 in.) max; measure distance (X) at the middle coils of spring.
NOTE:
If crop flow is not smooth (slipping) or quality of cut is poor, evenly increase feed roll spring tension.
NOTE:
When harvesting grass in wet conditions, remove the front feed roll spring on both sides. Do the same when harvesting large windrows.
Re-install and adjust the front feed roll spring on both sides when harvesting corn.
