Selective Control Valve II Switch

The selective control valve II provides pressure oil to two hydraulic outlets which allow the control of a double acting cylinder.

The selective control valve II will be engaged if:

  • The road safety switch is in field operating mode
  • The Operator is on the seat
  • The quick stop is not pressed

Depending on which harvesting unit is installed, switch function varies:

  • Cutting platform - Move reel forward / back
  • Rotary harvesting unit - fold / unfold

Any other optional hydraulic function that requires a double acting cylinder can be controlled by the selective control valve II.

Moving the reel forward / back or rotary harvesting unit fold / unfold is only possible with engine running and road safety switch in field operating mode.

Push and hold plus (+) symbol or minus (-) symbol:

  • To move reel forward / fold rotary harvesting unit
  • To move reel back / unfold rotary harvesting unit

The electronic system of the forage harvester implements a time limiting function for the control of selective control valve II. If the control button is pressed for too long a time, the electronic system will stop driving the valve. In this case the button has to be released first and then pressed again to allow any further valve control.

An automatic output mode for selective control valve II can be activated by setting the on-board diagnostic address ARC 108 (fifth digit) to 1.

A double click on the corresponding switch symbol (+ or -) turns on the corresponding selective control valve II output (+ or -) and the output remains on for a timeout that can be set in on-board diagnostic address ARC 109 even when the switch is released.
