Operational Information

CAUTION: Cleanliness is a must when filling the system.

Fill the system with grease, using a commercial grease pump. A filling nipple (A) is provided at the lube pump for this purpose.

Make sure that vent tube on the outside of the reservoir is not plugged.

If the lube pump is operational, an intermediate lubrication process may be started by pressing button (B). Intermediate lube takes 16 minutes to complete.

IMPORTANT: Three extra lube impulses should be given immediately after cleaning with a high pressure washer, steam cleaning or cleaning with compressed air.

At the end of the season, initiate at least five extra lube impulses.

Initiate an extra lube impulse at the start of each harvesting season.

If the lube reservoir has completely run dry, it may be necessary to bleed the system. Proceed as follows:

Remove main line (C) from pump outlet.

Initiate additional lube impulses until grease without bubbles appears at the pump outlet.

Connect main line (C).

Initiate one more additional lube impulse.

IMPORTANT: Grease lubricants containing solid lubricants must not be used. Moly grease will plug the distributors and should not be used. (Lubricants like graphite or MoS2 on request)

The system is designed for commercially available multi-purpose grease lubricants up to NLGI Class 2 for use in summer and wintertime.

Use greases with high-pressure additives (EP greases).

Use only greases of same kind of saponification.

NOTE: All system components are maintenance-free.

During the first few weeks of operation the system should be periodically checked, paying attention to the following points:

• Sufficient lubrication at bearing points - "grease collar"
• Broken or leaking lines
