Changing Header

Setup Calibration Addresses

Make sure to correctly set the following calibration addresses:

  • Choose header type. See "Address SPF 100 Calibration-Header Calibration" in section Calibration Procedures.
  • Set upper and lower header limits. See "Address SPF 100 Calibration-Header Calibration" in section Calibration Procedures.
  • Set header raise rate. See "Address SPF 102 Calibration-Header Raise Rate" in section Calibration Procedures.
  • Set header lower rate. See "Address SPF 103 Calibration-Header Lower Rate" in section Calibration Procedures.
  • Set correct number of cutterhead knives. See "Address SPF 105 Calibration-Number of Cutterhead Knives" in section Calibration Procedures.
  • If necessary, check presence of 4500 harvesting unit. See "Address SPF 119 Calibration-Override 676 Header Check" in section Calibration Procedures.
  • Set correct header working width for area counter calculations. Use addresses RCP 180 to RCP 183 to proceed. See section Calibration Procedures.
Additional Lighting for 6-meter (20 ft) and 7.5-meter (25 ft) Row-Independent Harvesting Unit

Use additional headlights (low-beam). See section Lighting System and Signals.

Spout Extension for 6-meter (20 ft) and 7.5-meter (25 ft) Row-Independent Harvesting Unit

Use additional brake light. See section Lighting System and Signals.

Ballast

IMPORTANT: Always proceed to a new forage harvester ballasting after changing header.

Automatic Lubrication System

If a header with Automatic Lubrication system is removed and a header without Automatic Lubrication system is installed instead, a return line must be connected to the inlet line (on the header side); for further information see "Lubrication, Periodic Service" Section.
