Manual Stationary Knife Adjustment

causym CAUTION: Lower harvesting unit to the ground when adjusting stationary knife.

To avoid bodily injury always stand on the side of the machine when adjusting stationary knife.

IMPORTANT: Stationary knife must be readjusted every time cutterhead knives have been sharpened. Adjust stationary knife twice a day, even if cutterhead knives are not being sharpened. This will extend knife life and require less power.

Preparations (Four-Speed LOC Only):

  • Move the two front shift rods (A) at length-of-cut transmission into neutral position.
  • Four-speed LOC: If a kernel processor or power chute is installed, drive belt must be locked (put out of operation), see Locking Device - Kernel Processor / Power Chute Main Drive (Four-Speed LOC Only) in Sections Kernel Processor or Power Chute.
