Kernel ProcessorOptional equipment for use in corn harvest. Two large diameter, heavy steel rolls with sharp heat-treated flutes crack the corn kernels for better digestibility. The sharp-fluted rolls accelerate the crop to the blower fan. Silage quality is improved with minimal increase in power requirements and maximum productive output. The kernel processor works well in whole plant corn and is recommended for ear corn silage. It is not recommended for use in grass or legumes. The kernel processor is available only with the Powr-Savr automatic roll clearance ajustable from the cab. |
