Adjusting Length-of-Cut (Four-Speed LOC)

The charts opposite show how different lengths of cut can be obtained.

IMPORTANT: Removing halve a set of knives in combination with:

  • Third or fourth lenght-of-cut

  • In corn crops and

  • The use of a kernel processor

Can cause:

  • Increased noise levels

  • Increased risk of plugging of the kernel processor

  • Premature wear of kernel processor components

NOTE: To obtain the best quality of cut at a given length, choose the adjustment where the greatest number of cutterhead knives is used.

Choose the longest acceptable length of cut to obtain the best harvesting performance at the lowest power requirement.
