Unloading from a Truck

Block trailer wheels and set air brakes.

Obtain packing list from driver and cross-check against bill of lading for correct goods and consignee.

Check all goods for damage. Photograph damage prior to unloading.

Check all goods against the packing list for overage or shortage.

IMPORTANT: Note any damage, overage or shortage on the bill of lading. Contact the transport agent and

resolve discrepancies before unloading.

causym CAUTION: Securely block trailer wheels before unloading the forage harvester.

Back trailer to dock. Leave trailer attached to tractor if possible. Block trailer wheels and lower trailer storage stands to stabilize the trailer. On low trailers, blocking may be placed under the trailer frame for additional stabilization.

Remove any bundles.

Remove four chains, binders and "T" hooks.

Inflate tires to recommended pressure.

Remove blocking under front and rear axle.

Remove tape from exhaust pipe outlet.

Position a guide person in a safe area on the ground in full view of the driver and in a position where the guide can move clear in case of an emergency. The guide will direct all movements of the forage harvester and the driver must follow his instructions.

Back forage harvester slowly off trailer and onto dock.

Drive forage harvester to set-up area.
