Removing Forage Harvester From Storage

Before the beginning of each harvesting season, the forage harvester should undergo a thorough check. By ensuring that the machine is in really good condition, costly breakdowns will be avoided.

Thoroughly clean the forage harvester inside and out, if this was not done after the last harvesting season. Reinstall all belts and check belt tension.

Close service covers.

Lubricate complete forage harvester in accordance with the lubrication charts.

Afterwards run forage harvester at half-speed for about an hour. Check all bearings for overheating.

Check tire inflation pressures.

Go over complete forage harvester and make sure that all bolts are tight and cotter pins are in place.
