CAUTION:
Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
1.
With the engine off, lubricate all grease points.
CAUTION:
Sound the horn before starting the engine to alert persons around the combine.
2.
Leave the engine running for about 15 minutes and successively activate all the control levers. If there is any unusual sound, immediately disengage the separator drive and shut off the engine. Determine and eliminate the cause of the problem before restarting the engine and engaging the separator.

If all systems are operating properly leave the engine running for about 15 to 30 minutes with all systems engaged. Then disengage all systems and

stop the engine. Check to see if any bearings are overheating.
4.
Check the tension of all belts and adjust as needed.
5.
Check the tension of all chains and adjust as needed.
IMPORTANT:
The wheel fasteners should be clean and unlubricated. The tightening torque is based on a clean and dry fastener. Lubrication reduces friction and places excessive strain on the fasteners.
6.
Retighten the front wheel lug nuts to 550 N·m (400 lb-ft). Retighten the rear wheel bolts to 180 N·m (130 lb-ft).
