Stopping the Engine
IMPORTANT:
Do not stop the engine immediately after operating under load, especially when it is equipped with a turbocharger. Allow the engine to run at slow idle for several minutes so that the oil can cool the turbocharger components. Stopping the engine when the turbocharger is turning at high speed means the impeller will continue to spin without lubricating oil. This lack of lubrication will damage the bearings and destroy the turbocharger.

Move the throttle (F) to slow idle (turtle).
