Changing the Hydraulic Oil Filter

Change the hydraulic reservoir oil filter:

• After the first 100 hours of operation.
• Every 500 hours or at the end of the harvesting season (whichever occurs first).
• Whenever the hydraulic filter restriction indicator lights.

IMPORTANT: Observe utmost cleanliness when installing filter.

Loosen and remove filter (A).

Dispose of filter properly and replace with a genuine John Deere filter.

Coat filter sealing surface with oil.

Tighten filter (A) element by hand until sealing ring touches filter housing sealing surface and then tighten a further 3/4 to 1-1/4 turns. Do not overtighten.

Start engine and check for leaks. Retighten if necessary.
