Refilling the Hydraulic System
IMPORTANT:
Always use specified oil (see "Fuel, Lubricants, Coolant and Capacities" Section). Carefully clean area around filler neck before filling with fresh oil. Remove all dirt from the reservoir bottom with a sponge. Do not use a rag and do not allow contaminants to fall there.
1.
Pour fresh hydraulic oil in at the filler neck (A) until the oil comes up to the center of the sight glass (B) or oil level scale (C).
2.
Start the combine engine and let it run for 15 minutes. Then turn the steering wheel in both directions several times to bleed off the air.
3.
Move the header lift, reel lift and unloading auger drive levers several times in both directions.
4.
Engage the threshing unit and the header and activate the cylinder speed control several times (combines equipped with Posi-Torq cylinder drive and variable speed reel drive).
5.
Inspect all lines and connections for leaks. Obey all safety rules.
6.
With the header and reel lowered and the unloading auger in transport position, add oil to the reservoir until the correct level is reached.
