Examination of Grain Lost Behind the Combine

Grain loss behind the combine can be caused by the screens or the straw walkers.

Grain lost from the screens will fall behind the rear axle. Losses from the straw walkers will fall farther behind. In general, grain loss from the straw walkers indicate improper separator adjustments.
