Replacing Fuel Filter Element

causym CAUTION: Always remove ignition key before performing maintenance work on fuel filter. Avoid fire hazards!

Replace filter elements after every 250 hours of operation or at the end of every harvesting season.

1. Unfasten ring (A) and remove filter element (B).

2. Align keys on filter element with slots in filter base.

3. Hand tighten until the retaining ring (A) fits into the lock position.

NOTE: The proper installation is indicated when a release of the retaining ring is felt. A plug is provided with the new element for plugging the used element.

4. Slacken off bleed screw (C) (see "Bleeding Fuel System"). Tighten bleed screw by hand.
