Reel Position
Reel position will vary according to crop conditions.
Standing Crop
The reel tubes should touch the crop below the ears of grain and hold the crop clear of the auger until cut.
Downed Crop
Set reel low enough so that individual tines pick up the crop and lift it onto the cutterbar without carrying the crop around the reel again. Adjust the tines accordingly.
Possible loss due to improperly adjusted reel
