Prepare the combine for the type of crop to be harvested. See the information provided in this section.
Prepare and install the header required for the crop to be harvested. Read the operator's manual supplied with the header.
NOTE:
The following instructions apply to a combine equipped with all the options.
Start the engine and set to a low rpm.
Engage separator.
Engage header.

Set engine to maximum rpm.
Engage a transmission gear.
Move ground speed control to adapt ground speed to the harvesting conditions.
Lower header to the ground.
Adjust straw chopper deflector to suit the conditions.
Set the Combine Harvester Computer to the relevant crop for loss control and area performances.
