Auger Height
The distance between the auger flighting and the bottom of the header varies from 10 to 20 mm (0.04 to 0.08 in.), depending on the product being harvested.
For crops such as soy beans and sorghum the thicker stalks should pass between the auger flighting and the bottom of the header.
IMPORTANT:
Note the distance between the auger and scrapers. Locate the scrapers so that the crop does not wind around the auger. In general leave a gap of 2 mm (0.08 in.) between the scrapers and the auger. See "Adjusting Auger Scrapers" in this Section.
