Pressure Relief Valves

IMPORTANT: Have pressure relief valves serviced by your John Deere dealer only.

The solenoid valve block is equipped with three pressure relief valves which have been tested and set at the factory.

Relief valve (A) restricts the maximum system pressure for lowering the cutting platform to 7000 kPa (70 bar; 1019 psi).

Relief valve (B) restricts the system pressure in the secondary circuit to 12000 kPa (120 bar; 1747 psi).

NOTE: Secondary circuit includes the following functions:

  • Reel and cylinder speed adjustments.

  • Grain tank discharge tube swinging.

Relief valve (C) restricts the system pressure in the primary circuit to 17000 kPa (170 bar; 2662 psi).

NOTE: Primary circuit includes the following functions:

  • Header reversing.

  • Cutting platform lifting.

If header cannot be raised to the desired height, relevant pressure relief valve may be defective. If this or a similar defect occurs, consult your John Deere dealer.
