Operating Grain Tank Covers

CAUTION: Grain tank covers must be closed before transporting combine on roads.

IMPORTANT: Open grain tank covers before engaging separator. Actuator will not raise covers if tank is one third or more full. If grain tank is full, unload before raising covers.

Grain tank covers open up to 45°. When covers are opened, the clean grain loading auger swings up with them. Auger swings down when covers are closed.

Grain tank covers are electrically operated via an electric motor activated by switches located into operator's cab and within the grain tank.

• To open the grain tank covers push and hold the open-symbol (I).
• To close the grain tank covers push and hold the close-symbol (II).

For entering into the grain tank, the right-hand grain tank cover must be unlocked from the top and has to be opened manually, see above.

CAUTION: Avoid severe injury or death! Always shut-off engine prior to actuating the switch (A) located in the grain tank.

Switch (A) allows opening or closing the grain tank covers from within the grain tank.

Requirements:

1. Grain tank empty

• I - Open the grain tank covers
• II - Neutral position
• III - Close the grain tank covers
