Bleeding Engine Fuel Filter

Air can enter the fuel system when changing the filter or running out of fuel. Air in the system could prevent engine from starting. If engine will not start in a couple attempts, use the following procedure to bleed the filter.

Open fuel valve.

Loosen, but do not remove, filter bleed plug (A).

Loosen primer (B) until it can be pulled upward.

Pump primer until fuel appears at bleed plug.

Turn key on so electric pump can help hand priming.

Tighten bleed plug. Push primer down and tighten.
