Changing Beater Speed

The 1100 rpm speed ensures high performance of the machine especially in rape and rye but also in high yielding wheat (for tough material handling conditions).

For some crops such as peas and edible beans, it may be necessary to change the beater speed to 700 rpm.

Changing the beater speed from 1100 to 700 rpm:

NOTE: The beater is delivered ex-factory with the 1100 rpm sheave. The 700 rpm sheave is available as an attachment.

1. Loosen idler (A) (located behind the tailings elevator) and remove belt (B).

2. Remove sheave (C)

3. Disconnect electromagnetic clutch connector (D) then remove 1100 rpm sheave (E).

4. Install 1100 rpm sheave (E) in position that was occupied by sheave (C).

5. Install 700 rpm sheave (260 mm; 10.23 in.) on electromagnetic clutch.

6. Connect electromagnetic clutch connector (D) then install belt (B).

7. Tighten idler (A) until washer is aligned with the end of the spring gauge.

Changing the beater speed from 700 to 1100 rpm:

1. Loosen idler (A) (located behind the tailings elevator) and remove belt (B).

2. Remove 1100 rpm sheave (C)

3. Disconnect electromagnetic clutch connector (D) then remove 700 rpm sheave (E).

4. Install sheave (220 mm; 8.66 in.) removed while changing speed from 1100 to 700 rpm in position that was occupied by 1100 rpm sheave (C).

5. Install 1100 rpm sheave (C) on electromagnetic clutch.

6. Connect electromagnetic clutch connector (D) then install belt (B).

7. Tighten idler (A) until washer is aligned with the end of the spring gauge.
