Rolling Out Tine Separator

Tine separator can be fully rolled out of the combine to gain access to the tines, the flow dividers or for corn kit component, filler plate or grate installation. Proceed as follows:

Remove left- and right-hand side shields and side access panel (A).

Remove bolts (A) and spacers securing left- and right- hand side of separator to strap.

IMPORTANT: Torque bolts (A) to specification after service.

Remove cap screws securing the rear top access lid (A). Raise lid and secure with locking strap.

Remove cap screws securing rear door (B) and swing door open.

Remove cap screws (A) securing universal joint. Slide universal joint off to the side of drive shaft.

Remove round head bolts (A) (on both sides) securing tine separator.

IMPORTANT: Torque bolts (A) to specification after service.

Disconnect loss sensors (A) from wiring harness.

(Not illustrated) Disconnect tine separator loss sensor connectors from wiring harness located on top of plate (A).

Remove plate (A) between straw chopper and tine separator frames.

Remove deflector sheet (A).

Remove crank (A) from storage position.

Insert crank into pivot (A) and secure with cap screw and nut.

NOTE: Clean dirt and trash off of the track before moving the tine separator to the service position.

Turn the crank counterclockwise to roll the tine separator out to service position.

NOTE: The tine separator will roll out until it comes in contact with the stops at rear of tracks.
