Adjusting Straw Chopper Vanes
If the wind is blowing from the side, set straw chopper vanes against the wind to prevent the standing crop from becoming covered with chopped material. This setting can be retained if the combine drives around the field in a circle and not up and down its length.
Two different versions are available for adjusting the straw deflectors:
-
Electrical adjustment, centrally (option)
-
Mechanical adjustment, centrally
Electrical Adjustment
Straw deflector vanes (A) are adjusted centrally by means of electric motor (B). The adjustment is made from the operator's cab.
Mechanical Adjustment
NOTE:
To change the basic setting, it is necessary to hold screws when tightening or slackening nuts (C), otherwise the straw chopper vanes may be too tight or too slack.
Straw chopper vanes are adjusted simultaneously by slackening off toggle nuts (C) and actuating the lever (D).
