Combine and Platform Check List
NOTE:
The following items must be checked and adjusted properly before attempting to use the set up procedure in this section.
Combine

Feeder house front drum in "grain" position.

Feeder house conveyor drive on "small" sprocket.

Feeder house conveyor chain tension is properly adjusted.
-
Remove cylinder filler plates if installed.
-
Cylinder rasp bars are free of nicks and abrasions.
-
Concave is leveled and proportioned to cylinder.
-
All elevator chains are properly tensioned.
-
All augers are free from nicks, cracks and sharp edges.
Platform
-
Level cutterbar.
-
Adjust auger down and back to rear stripper 3 mm (0.12 in.).

Check condition of cutterbar knife sections.
-
Set reel fingers on reel to 25 mm (0.98 in.) above cutterbar.

Set reel finger pitch for the given field condition.
-
Set auger fingers to 16 mm (0.63 in.).
