Chains-Every 200 Hours of Operation

CAUTION: Never lubricate chains with engine running.

Lubricate chains every 200 hours of operation with SAE 30 or heavier engine oil or John Deere TY6240 Chain Lube in an aerosol can.

Run chain before lubricating. A warm chain increases the penetration of oil between pins and bushings. Shut off combine engine and remove key before lubricating chains.

Do not lubricate clean grain elevator, tailings or feeder house conveyor chains that run in crop.
