Service Codes - John Deere Engine Control Unit for 6081 POWERTECH® Engine

NOTE: See your John Deere dealer if any of the following service codes appear.

Service Code Problem Solution
11 Primary Analog Throttle input voltage too high.  
12 Primary Analog Throttle input voltage too low.  
21 Sensor supply voltage too high.  
22 Sensor supply voltage too low.  
31 Rack position measurement error (rack not positioned properly when the engine was started).  
34 Rack position error (rack voltage command by the controller does not match the actual rack voltage measured by the controller).  
35 Rack position voltage too high.  
36 Rack position voltage too low.  
37 Fuel Temperature input voltage too high.  
38 Fuel Temperature input voltage too low.  
39 Primary speed input error.  
41 Start signal missing (engine speed has been present without the Start Signal having occurred).  
42 Engine overspeed.  
44 Auxiliary speed input error.  
46 Start signal always active (start signal is present after engine speed has reached running speed).  
48 Fuel shut off circuit fault.  
53 Rack instability (too much variation in the rack position).  
71 Diagnostic code output signal always high.  
72 Diagnostic code output signal always low.  

 

NOTE: Error codes 71 and 72 appear if electronic control tester is unable to read the diagnostic output signal or the fuel control output signal. These codes are generated by the tester.
