Accumulators
CAUTION:
If necessary, have accumulators replaced or adjusted by your John Deere dealer.
For Harvesting Unit Float System
All forage harvesters are provided with two nitrogen accumulators on the right- hand side.
Each accumulator has a capacity of 2 L (0.53 U.S. gal). Accumulator (A) is loaded at a pressure of 5500 kPa (55 bar; 798 psi). Accumulator (B) is loaded at a pressure of 3500 kPa (35 bar; 508 psi).
On forage harvester models designed to use a 6-meter (20 ft) rotary (row- independent) header, an additional nitrogen accumulator is installed on the left- hand side.
This accumulator has a volume of 2 L (0.53 U.S. gal) and is charged to 5500 kPa (55 bar; 798 psi).
6-meter (20 ft) Rotary (Row-Independent) Header
When using a 6-meter (20 ft) rotary (row-independent) header, open shut-off valve (E).
When using other headers, close shut-off valve (E).
3-Meter Pickup
When using a 3-meter pickup, have the pressure in accumulator (B) set to 3500 kPa (35 bar; 508 psi).
When using other harvesting units, have the pressure in accumulator (B) set to 5500 kPa (55 bar; 798 psi).
For Main Clutch
Accumulator (C) has a volume of 0.075 L (0.02 U.S. gal) and is charged to 300 kPa (3 bar; 44 psi).
The accumulators are maintenance-free and cannot be repaired if damaged.
