Four Wheel Drive

IMPORTANT: Do not switch 4-wheel drive on or off while driving forage harvester in 3rd gear (road gear) at maximum travel speed.

Move ground speed control lever to a neutral to midway position before switching 4-wheel drive on or off.

The 4-wheel drive system is designed for use in poor traction conditions or when needed to improve steering control.

To engage the drive, depress foot switch.

To disengage the drive, depress foot switch once again.

It is not necessary to engage 4-wheel drive for driving forage harvester, except in soft or muddy conditions.

In extremely muddy conditions, it may be necessary to apply both brakes momentarily to increase hydrostatic pressure and flow to rear wheels.
