Number and Arrangement of Cutterhead Knives

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage by cutterhead imbalance, make sure that number and arrangement of knives are correct.

IMPORTANT: Removing half a set of knives in combination with:

  • Third or fourth length-of-cut setting

  • Corn crops and

  • The use of a kernel processor

Can cause:

  • Increased noise levels

  • Increased risk of plugging of the kernel processor

  • Premature wear of kernel processor components
