Tensioning Alternator Drive Belt - Cummins Engine

Loosen attaching and adjusting screws.

Pull alternator outwards.

Tighten screws.

Check belt tension at locations (X), referring to the following specifications:

Belt Tension - Specification

New belts -Tension 620 N (140 lb)
Used belts -Tension 270-490 N (60-110 lb)
