When the machine is reversed, the metal detector is reset. The reset light (E) and the output light (C) are on. As soon as reversing of feed rolls is stopped, the reset light goes out but the output light (C) should stay on. If metal detector will not reset when the machine is reversed, check reset light (E):
If light (E) does not come on, have the wiring to the upper left electronic box plug checked by your John Deere dealer.
If light (E) comes on, but the metal detector does not reset, have the metal detector electronic box checked by your John Deere dealer.
When the electric clutch is engaged, clutch light (F) should come on. If the machine experiences false tripping when switching the feed rolls to forward or reverse, check light (F):
If light (F) does not come on when electric clutch is engaged, have the wiring to the upper left electronic box plug checked by your John Deere dealer.
If light (F) comes on when electric clutch is engaged, but the metal detector does not trip correctly, have screening coil at left bearing of lower front feed roll and electronic box checked by your John Deere dealer.
If light (F) goes out when electric clutch is disengaged, but metal detector does not trip correctly, have electronic box checked.
