Kernel Processor Quick Conversion

ZX013759

causym CAUTION: Before servicing or adjusting the harvester, always disengage all power, shut off engine and wait until all moving parts have stopped.

If working on machine in kernel processor area, use all safety precautions. Listen to alarm and read all DANGER decals at point of hazard.

causym CAUTION: To avoid serious injury do not remove or open shields until rotation warning alarm stops. Pay close attention to rotation warning alarm; it signals movement at the kernel processor area and sounds as long as motion is detected. Kernel processor has a "run-down" time and could continue to turn for several minutes after main clutch is disengaged and engine is shut-down.

Alarm will not sound if engine is running and operator is seated. DO NOT allow others to access kernel processor area until engine is off and alarm has stopped sounding.

IMPORTANT: Keep tensioning chain in a safe position with kernel processor in working or idle position to prevent the chain from getting caught between kernel processor rolls.

To shorten "run-down" time, reduce engine speed to slow idle before disengaging main clutch.

This machine has a cutterhead rotation alarm. Do not remove kernel processor service cover or try to access area if alarm is sounding.

Changing from Grass Transition Chute to Kernel Processor

Conversion must be carried out with no harvesting unit installed, i.e. after removing harvesting unit and before installing another one.

Move adapter frame of feed roll housing into vertical position.

Conversion is carried out without removing cutterhead.
