Adjusting Straw Chopper Vanes
If the wind is blowing from the side, set straw chopper vanes against the wind to prevent the standing crop from becoming covered with chopped material. This setting can be retained if the combine drives around the field in a circle and not up and down its length.
Straw deflector vanes (A) are adjusted centrally by means of electric motor (B). The adjustment is made from the operator's cab.
For fine adjustment of right-hand side vanes, the vane actuating system features a link (C) with several hole locations (D) to be installed between different connecting axles (E). Change the link (C) location to modify right-hand vane position.
