Operating Chaff Spreader
Chaff spreader can spread chaff under different manners which are:

The chaff is blown into the straw, chopped and spread together with the straw-
with straw chopper engaged

The chaff is blown into the straw and windrowed together with the straw-
with straw chopper disengaged
.

The chaff is spread separate from the windrowed straw-
with straw chopper disengaged
.

The chaff is spread separate from the chopped straw-
with straw chopper engaged
.
Refer to "Operating Straw Chopper" in this section to engage or disengage straw chopper if necessary.
Place chaff spreader assembly into working position (see "Chaff Spreader Working/Storage Positions" hereafter) then choose the spreading mode:
- To set chaff spreader for
"lateral flow"
, unscrew damper knobs (A) then fully slide both knobs outward. Firmly screw knobs (A).
- To set chaff spreader for
"chopped flow"
, unscrew damper knobs (A) then fully slide both knobs inward. Firmly screw knobs (A).
IMPORTANT:
When operating chaff spreader for corn, sunflowers or soybeans, chaff spreader speed must be reduced to 400 rpm.
