Bleeding the Fuel Filter (9540 and 9560 Combines with 6.8 L Engine)

Air can enter the fuel system when changing the filter or running out of fuel. Air in the system could prevent engine from starting.

Use the following procedure to bleed the filter.

1. Turn key to the on position so that the fuel transfer pump is operating.

2. Allow 40 seconds for electronic transfer pump to complete priming.

3. Repeat if necessary.
