Bleeding the Fuel System (9540 and 9560 Combines with 6.8 L Engine)
Bleed Using Electronic Transfer Pump
The bleeding is automatically performed by an orifice inside the filter base connected to the overflow valve on injection pump. This system allows air to escape continually through the fuel return line when ignition is ON.
1.
Turn key to position "Accessories and Run".
2.
Allow 40 seconds for electronic transfer pump to complete priming.
If engine will not start after this bleeding procedure, contact your John Deere dealer.
