Opening the Hood

causym CAUTION: Always shut off engine and remove key before opening engine hood (A). To avoid bodily injury, do not open hood until all rotating parts have stopped completely.

To open the engine hood (A), use a suitable tool (13 mm across flats) or else use tool (B), which is available through spare parts channels (see arrow).

Open hood, it will be held in position by gas-filled struts (C).

This will give access to:

  • Radiator and coolers
  • Alternator, fan belt and starting motor
  • Engine oil and fuel filters
  • Transmission and hydraulic filters
  • Air cleaner
