IMPORTANT:
The machine must always be stationary before changing steering modes.
Before working with the machine or before changing of steering mode, check the alignment (centre/straight position) of the wheels as follows:
1.
Start the engine and apply parking brake.
2.
Keep steering mode switch (A) in its actual position (i.e. four wheel steering)
3.
Press on switch (A) to activate timer. The timer indicator LED (B) will glow during 90 seconds.
4.
While indicator LED (B) is glowing, turn the wheels until the front wheel alignment indicator LED (C)
|
and the rear wheel alignment indicator LED (D) are glowing steadily. When this occurs, all wheels are properly aligned.
NOTE:
When changing steering mode from "two wheel steering" to another mode, only the front wheel alignment indicator LED (C) will glow.
5.
Rotate steering mode switch (A) to the desired steering mode position.
NOTE:
Each axle incorporates a Hall effect sensor which indicates the centre position of the axle for the wheel alignment indicator LEDs (C) and (D).
