Knife Screw Torque
Knife screw torque must be between 210 N·m min. and 270 N·m max. (155 lb-ft min. and 200 lb-ft max.).
NOTE:
In stony ground conditions torque of center knife screw may be reduced by 30 N·m (22 lb-ft) with regard to the torque of the outer screws. Make sure that the torque is within the specified limit.
If frequent knife dislocation due to foreign bodies occurs, increase torque.
IMPORTANT:
To avoid major damage to the cutting system use only genuine John Deere screws.
NOTE:
If torque is too high, frequent knife breakage may occur.
