7.
Carefully rotate the fuel filter upside down and remove from the filter housing as shown. This will ensure minimal to no fuel leakage from the wet fuel filter.
8.
Place the used filter in a container suitable for diesel fuel.
IMPORTANT:
Re-using fuel filter once removed from housing may result in trapped air in the filter causing fuel to overflow from the filter housing during insertion and/or causing the engine to stall and not re-start without additional system purging.

9.
Check to ensure that the fuel level in the filter housing is between the MIN and MAX fuel levels indicated on the outside of the housing and on the corresponding marks on the center tube. If the fuel is below the MIN level, then carefully open the fuel supply shut-off valve a small amount to add fuel. Operate the hand primer to add more fuel if required or if the unit is not equipped with a fuel supply shut-off valve.
IMPORTANT:
Fuel level below the MIN indication may result in trapped air in the filter causing the engine to stall and not re-start without additional system purging. Fuel level above the MAX indication may cause fuel to overflow from the filter housing during insertion.
10.
Insert new (dry) fuel filter into filter housing.
11.
Re-install fuel filter cap and tighten by hand.
