Start Switch

causym CAUTION: Sound horn before starting engine to warn people away from the forage harvesters.

To avoid the possibility of personal injury or death, start the engine ONLY from the operator seat. Do not start engine by shorting across starter terminals. Machine will start in gear if normal circuit is bypassed.

Start switch is located on right side of steering column. Key positions are:

First Position (0) ...Off
Second Position (I) ...Accessories
Third Position (II) ...Accessories and Run
Fourth Position (III) ...Start

 

Turn key to the fourth position to start. All lights on the warning display panel will come on.

When released, it will return to run or third position.

    If engine will not crank, check for:

  • Multi-function lever in neutral
  • All drives disengaged

The decal (A) on the storage box lid shows engine starting information.
